For this annual celebration, I secured entertainment, rentals, volunteers, and vendors to celebrate the richness of the Latino/Hispanic diaspora. I worked with City Departments to promote and engage new guests and partnerships. I worked with a radio station to record a commercial break to market the event. This event served over 200 guests and residents.
Event Collaboration and Partnerships:
- Collaborated with over ten community organizations to ensure a diverse range of resources and information were available for Bloomington residents.
Volunteer Coordination:
- Organized the recruitment and coordination of volunteers for various event tasks, including check-in, managing raffles, audio setup, catering assistance, and emceeing.
Talent Booking and Cultural Showcase:
- Secured bands and artists to deliver engaging performances that showcased the diversity of the Latino and Hispanic culture
Budget Management:
- Detailed the event budget to strategically allocate funds to provide guests with an enjoyable experience that included food, entertainment, and arts.
Organizing this event for the City of Bloomington was a fun experience and one of my favorite events to put together.
