In July 2017, I played a key role in overseeing Indiana University's presence at the annual Indiana Black Expo. The main focus of my responsibilities was the proofreading of marketing materials, ensuring IU's brand and voice reached our target audience of potential students and their families. I engaged with over 300 students during the event, to provide tangible resources of support for higher education at Indiana University.
I also worked with promotional manufacturers to order popular items that effectively promoted the IU brand, increasing the traffic at the expo. To remember the experience, I sourced professional photography, a photo booth, and entertainment for the weekend event. I assisted in the proper setup of the IU footprint at the tradeshow to facilitate easy crowd engagement.
